"This week the Redditch School Changes campaign group uncovered that the Regional Schools Commissioner had rejected Tudor Grange's change of age range request back in December. Today they discover that on the 12th March 2015 it was approved.
I am shocked and disappointed at this decision, especially in light of the significant local opposition. I hope parents, local schools and the community will have the right to appeal against this as I do not see how destabilising the existence of other schools in the Tudor Grange pyramid and across the town will improve children’s education.
It's hard to fathom that both significant updates regarding the future of education in Redditch have not been worthy of a formal announcement and instead the local campaign group had to use their initiative to keep parents, schools and the community updated on developments that affect the whole town. This is no way to deal with the education of our children and does not instil my trust in local accountability".
